Expert Forum: Food Production, Sustainability, Transparency

February 25, 2024 - February 27, 2024

Fischmesse in Bremen zeigt Fischbett mit Alaska-Pollack und Jakobsmuscheln

PROGRAM: RESPONSIBLE

It is increasingly important to address key issues of food production, sustainability and transparency. At fish international we bring together professionals, experts from the industry to explore innovative solutions, share knowledge and shape the future of the fishing industry.

Our comprehensive program revolves around three main themes: Food Production, Sustainability and Transparency. These areas are central to a responsible and ethical approach to seafood production and consumption.

As part of the production theme, we look at the latest advances in food waste prevention, plant-based fish and land-based aquaculture developments, and modern processing technologies, among others. From research into sustainable farming methods to developments in the efficient processing of fish, our program aims to promote qualitative trends that are in demand.

Sustainability is front and center as we address the urgent need to protect our resources. We shine a spotlight on best practices in responsible fishing and aquaculture. Our goal is to promote dialogue between stakeholders and provide information about best practices examples.

Transparency is a key element in building trust and securing consumer confidence. As part of this theme, we are exploring traceability systems, certifications, and labeling initiatives that enable consumers to make informed decisions. By promoting transparency, we empower individuals to support sustainable and socially responsible practices in fish.

Exchange ideas, shape a responsible and sustainable future for the fishing industry. Explore our program, meet leading experts, discover innovative products and services, and make valuable contacts with like-minded professionals. Together, we can make a positive impact and drive change toward a thriving and ethical seafood industry.

We are currently working on the detailed program and will publish it in time before the fair. Feel free to contact Kai Wätjen for more information. E-mail
