Around 303 exhibitors from 29 nations presented their products in the areas of fish production and processing, fresh fish and delicacies, as well as research and development in February 2020. More than 10,000 visitors from fisheries management, retail and catering took the opportunity for information, networking and exchange.

Climate neutrality: Act now!

On the way to a climate-neutral trade show
calculate - reduce - compensate

Set out on the road...
Where do we stand?                            Calculate
What can we change?                          Reduce
How is climate neutrality achieved?      Offset
Visitors have the opportunity to pay a voluntary carbon offset contribution of 1€, which goes directly to a project that demonstrably saves CO₂.

Exhibitors can have their trade fair stand assessed and offset by the non-profit climate protection organization myclimate and thus make a contribution to climate protection. You will also receive a certificate from our partner myclimate.

Going green in the center: Our contribution as organizer
We also want to see where we stand and what we can improve. We at MESSE BREMEN have the CO₂ consumption of our event calculated and offset our CO₂ emissions towards a neutral status quo.

Small steps that make a difference
The contributions support the climate protection project "Clean drinking water for schools and households in Uganda". The main goal is to provide poorer households and institutions such as schools in Uganda with new technologies to purify drinking water. The resulting reduced consumption of non-renewable firewood and charcoal reduces CO₂ emissions while having a positive impact on the living conditions and health of thousands of people. The project contributes to an annual CO₂ reduction of 61,399 t.
Information & exchange at the trade fair
Scientists will present in September what the current climate change means. At the fair you will also have the opportunity to talk to experts about how your company can save CO₂, make products climate neutral and what else is worth changing. At fish international you will find the myclimate team at 5A57.
