NEW WORK: THE OPPOSITE OF OLD WORK?

27. February 2024, 10:3011:00

NEW WORK – WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN?

Moderation: Margitta Eichelbaum,Zukunft Personal

And what exactly distinguishes new work from old? Our two speakers want to get to the bottom of this. Exciting, because they come from opposing fields. And yet they will report on initiatives in their companies that can be applied to almost all sectors. On the one hand, Vitakraft, an all-rounder with development, production and sales activities, has set out to modernise its organisation in all areas. On the other hand, there is Sparkasse Bremen, which one would not necessarily have expected to have implemented transformation so consistently.

Jörg-Uwe Pfeiffer, Senior Manager Human Resources Development, Die Sparkasse Bremen AG

After training as a bank clerk, Jörg-Uwe Pfeiffer studied economics. This was followed by a traineeship at Eismann Tiefkühlheimservice in Mettmann, where he later worked as a regional sales manager. He has been contributing his expertise to Sparkasse Bremen since 1998: first in sales promotion and as Head of Marketing, and from 2012 in Human Resources. As Senior Manager Human Resources Development, he is an active driver of the financial institution’s radical transformation process – always with a clear view of the complex requirements that he is familiar with from his various professional positions.

Dr Thomas Jung, Head of Human Resources International, Vitakraft pet care GmbH & Co. KG

As International Head of Human Resources at Vitakraft, Dr Thomas Jung draws on a wide range of experience and expertise in the world of work – when he and the People & Culture team help to shape the transformation process of the traditional medium-sized company, which has been in existence for 187 years. In order to remain competitive in the pet industry, all areas are being systematically reorganised. With flat hierarchies, modern processes and qualified employees. A particular challenge: harmonising the different working methods. The transformation of production and logistics looks different to that of development, marketing and sales – individual concepts are required here.
